Zac Efron is one of the hunkiest men in Hollywood, so it’s surprising to hear that he ‘can’t date,’ right?

Yep, although Zac was with High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens for five years, and was then linked to Lily Collins, Michelle Rodriguez and Sami Miro – he says he just ‘can’t do dating’ because of who he is.

“Dating is something I’ll never be able to do,” he revealed in an interview with The Times.

“As in the dictionary definition of dating, because one way or another I’ve impacted that person’s life and they’ll soon realize it. A date has to be very long to dispel whatever people think about me.”

And as for having a go at Tinder, he joked, “Amazingly, when I signed up for Tinder, nobody swiped me! They thought it was fake…That never happened.”

Back in April Zac gushed about then-girlfriend Sami Miro

What’s more, Zac doesn’t even have access to his social media, and hires someone to post for him. He explained that when he was going through depression in 2013, he felt that social media negatively impacted his mental state.

“I lost my mind because of the Internet. I’d read 30 positive things and one bad thing, then I’d harbor that bad thing. It drove me crazy.” Poor Z!

Now, Zac’s focusing on his career, and admits that working alongside The Rock in Baywatch has really left a mark on him.

“He wants to make an impact beyond acting. He could run for president. F–k it, he’d be better than anyone at this point…I’m realizing the value of film,” Zac says of The Rock.

“We have the ability to change the world with cinema. I love acting, I study it every night—Enter the Dragon, Se7en.

“It’s been a struggle. From day one, I wanted to do authentic work. It wasn’t about money. It wasn’t about fame. It wasn’t about Instagram. I feel like I’m just unlocking right now. I’m just getting started.”
