The answer might not surprise you. In a new book called Kardashian Dynasty, by author and investigator Ian Halperin – it claims that the infamous sex tape made between Kim Kardashian and Ray J in 2003 was “deliberately leaked” by none other than the matriach and momager of the family, Kris Jenner!

Of course this comes as no surprise to many who see Kris as doing anything to make money off of the family, and it sure wouldn’t be the first time fingers have pointed to Kris.

“Kris was totally involved in arranging the sale of Kim’s tape,” a source has previously told Radar Online.

A source in the ‘adult film industry’ told Ian that, “A mutual friend of Kim and Paris Hilton had advised her that if she wanted to achieve fame, a sex tape would be the way to go…Kim had discussed the idea of producing a tape with her family beforehand.”

“It was Kris who engineered the deal behind the scenes and was responsible for the tape seeing the light of day,” a former friend of Kim told Ian of the deal that Kris allegedly had with Vivid Entertainment. To be able to speak to a Vivid rep, Ian had to pose as a celebrity sex tape salesperson, and learnt that “when it comes to…selling a sex tape, both parties need to sign off.”

“A third party brought it to Vivid. We got in touch with the Kardashian family,” the spokesperson said, adding that the tape would leak either way, without the celebrity being paid. So of course they asked Kim and potentially Kris to work for them, as they’d guarantee that the tape would get out and would be the distributed the way they wanted.

“You’ll get a nice payment for it,” the rep reportedly said.”I can tell you right now: Kim Kardashian’s movie came out in ’07, and she’s made millions.”

Yep, and she’s been famous ever since.

Naturally, Kim threatened to sue Vivid Entertainment, and was reportedly paid $5 million in a settlement, but of course the tape was still released.

“It is clear that Vivid would not have announced plans to distribute Kim’s tape without a clear indication from the family that they would give the go-ahead once they had come to terms on a price,” Ian concluded. Not long after, a rep for Kim denied his claims, saying, “All the assertions are false.”

Ian’s tell-all book will hit shelves on April 19th – and it looks like it will be a good read! We wonder what other skeletons might come out of the closet!
