After nineties supermodel Stephanie Seymour called Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid “B***hes of the moment!” at a Vanity Fair event last week, the two young supermodels have received public support in light of Stephanie’s nasty comment.

Fellow model Tyra Banks took to Twitter on Wednesday to express her disappoint over the whole situation.

“This supermodel war is raging and it’s really tearing me apart,” the former Victoria’s Secret Angel wrote.

At the event, Stephanie was asked how she thinks the modelling industry has changed over the years.

“Supermodels are sort of the thing of the past. They deserve their own title [Kendall and Gigi] are beautiful girls, and I support all of them, but they need their own title,” before adding that they were “B***hes of the moment!” Ouch!

Tyra, who began her modelling career at 15 and even worked alongside Stephanie, shared an Insta throwback showing her support for Kengi.

Stephanie took to Insta on Sunday to publicly apologise to Gigi and Kendall for her harsh comments, by posting a side by side of the two girls, and a lengthy caption to go with it.

“I don’t usually address rumors, but since feelings have been hurt I would like to set the story straight. At an event last week I was jokingly asked if the ‘era of supermodels’ was over, what should we call the new great ‘it’ girls?? There were no names mentioned, and NO ill intent involved. A supermodel is a supermodel,” she clarified.

“I respect and admire all these women in my industry, in particular Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. Having been in the business over 20 years I know how hard these women work. Bravo to both Gigi and Kendall for their success!! @gigihadid @kendalljenner,” she ended the post with.

Modelling sure is a dog-eat-dog industry!
