On Monday’s 2Day FM breakfast show, Rove asked previous Bachie contestant and Bachelorette star Sam Frost, why she thinks the show has cracked down on the contestant’s contracts this year – and the reason may not surprise you.

“In Sam Wood’s season, all the girls were very spiteful once they didn’t win, and it was honestly a mess to try and shut them up because they’re all like ‘Ahh Sam Wood, he’s not even that good, so guess what I’m going to do, I’m going to ruin your show,'” Sam reveals.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned… right?

“And then the girls would plot together, and I’m not going to name names, but I think you guys can do the math, there was some of the girls that would plot together and they would be selling stories… I don’t even know if they sold the stories, but they were giving information to news outlets,” Sam spills.

“They’re going out hooking up with boys, and then it’s a process of elimination, and it ruins the story line because you go ‘X, Y and Z are friends, and why are they friends, oh well she gets kicked out so that means that they would have probably got kicked out.'”

“Snez was the only one who wasn’t on her social media, that wasn’t hanging out with the girls, because she’s like mate I’ve got the man!”

The Daily Telegraph recently revealed that the new contract ensures that any eliminated girls can’t be seen together in public until the final episode has aired – which Sam admits is about 4 months between shooting the final episode and the time it goes to air.

“I would not be surprised if they said ‘Richie and your lady, you’re not allowed to catch up during that time because it’s too much of a risk.'”

“Because basically the reason why it’s delayed so long from filming is because the paps are getting them, and the paps would know who the final three are because they would have been following it, and so they’ll be like ‘guess what, I’m going to stalk you and you for the entire time to try and figure out which one of you wins.'”

“And so I can almost put word on it that they will not catch up during that time,” Sam says.

Well they do say that distance makes the heart grow fonder!
