He’s the smooth-talking host of The Bachelor with an even smoother head of hair, but Osher Gunsberg’s finding the gig a little tougher this season – and it’s all because the girls are driving him mad!

Yep, with 22 beautiful women all vying for the affections of the same man – Perth hottie Richie Strahan, 31 – Osh lets slip to NW that the Bachelor mansion has turned into a bit of a madhouse!

“You put a whole bunch of women together who have behaved a certain way their whole lives to get what they want out of a situation. Some of those women may use kindness or diplomacy or perhaps another way to get what they want.

“Suddenly, they’re put into a confined space with women who would use very different ways to get what they want out of a situation…”

So we’re guessing we can expect a clash or two.“Yeah,” he says. “That’s a word I would use! Clashes.”

Cripes! Let’s see what else our dishy insider’s keen to, um, dish up…

The Bachelor S4 Ep1 Richie and Osher

Richie and Osher on The Bachelor

You’ve worked with Richie on The Bachelorette and now The Bachelor. How would you describe him?

He’s a lovely bloke, very adventurous and funny, funny, funny! He keeps everybody in stitches.

Were you shocked when Sam Frost didn’t pick him last year?

No, I wasn’t! Sam found Richie to be a lovely man. She’s spoken glowingly of him – she’s said nothing but lovely things about him – but I guess they just didn’t click. And that’s fine.

It’s been good for Richie, because he now knows what these beautiful, smart, fun women on The Bachelor go through.

It’s like, “You’re totally perfect, but there’s no spark.” Those rose ceremonies are really tough on him.

So would you say he’s having a hard time?

Oh yeah. He’s the kind of man who will go out of his way to make sure everyone in the room is having a good time, to make sure everyone in the room is smiling. When he finds out he’s making someone unhappy, it’s really tough on him.

The 2016 Bachelorettes meet Richie…

The Bachelor airs 7.30pm Wednesday and Thursday from July 27 on Ten.
