33 year-old supermodel Miranda Kerr has opened up candidly in an interview and magazine shoot with Elle Canada about slipping into depression after her breakup from Hollywood actor, Orlando Bloom.

“When Orlando and I separated I actually fell into a really bad depression,” she told the magazine. “I never understood that depth of that feeling or the reality of that because I was naturally a very happy person.”

She revealed she overcame her troubles using positive thinking and mindfulness, realising that “every thought you have affects your reality and only you have control of your mind.”

The couple, who are parents to a 5 year-old son, Flynn, split in 2013 after six years together.

Nowadays, the brunette beauty has moved on with Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, who she became engaged to earlier this year, while Orlando is dating Katy Perry. The pair is now reportedly considering moving back to Australia, after a violent break-in at their Malibu mansion left her fearing for her son’s safety.

Shortly after their split was announced, the British actor said there was no animosity between himself and Miranda.

“We love each other. We’re a family. We’re going to be in each other’s lives for the rest of our lives,” he told talk show host Katie Couric.

Miranda agreed, telling Harper’s Bazaar back in 2014 that they are “very good.” “We speak every day,” she added. “We’re really close; we’re going to be a family for ever and we really do love each other.”

AWWWW, cute! It’s nice to see some friendly Hollywood exes!
