Miley Cyrus has been in the spotlight for many years, and now she’s revealed something we didn’t think we’d hear – that she’ll never do a red carpet again.

Yep, in the October issue of US Elle, Miley talked about her relationship with Liam Hemsworth, playing Pokemon Go, and how she doesn’t understand Snapchat.

But the biggest shock was when she revealed she’ll never be seen on another red carpet!

The last red carpet Miley was on was in December 2015 for the premiere of A Very Murray Christmas, and it didn’t sit very well with her.

“I will never do a red carpet again. Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that’s red?” Miley questioned.

“Because I’m ‘important’? Because I’m ‘famous’? That’s not how I roll. It’s like a skit – it’s like Zoolander.”

Since her Hannah Montana days, Miley has become quite the social rights advocate.

She’s brought a homeless person on stage to accept her 2014 VMA award, became a LGBT rights activist, and started the Happy Hippie Foundation – a non-profit organisation that fights “injustice facing homeless youth, LGBTQ youth and other vulnerable populations.”

She likened the moment to once faced by her character in Woody Allen’s new series Crisis in Six Scenes.

“I’m playing this ’60s revolutionary. Woody plays someone who grew up in the suburbs of New York. He’s got an ice cream machine, and I’m like, people are starving and you’re sitting here making ice cream?!” she explained.

She also revealed: “For a long time, I couldn’t sleep because I just felt so guilty.”

“I was covered in rashes because I was so stressed. There are children being sold into sex slavery; how can I go on a hike right now? So now I try to do as much as I can through Happy Hippie.”

Onya, Miles!
