Tattooed mechanical fitter Keller explained on the preview ads for the new season of Married At First Sight, that he was worried what his bride would think of his inked bod.

He needn’t have worried though, because on the first episode last night, he impressed both his bride Nicole, 28, and her family.

“My biggest fear is what she’s going to think of me… my bride might think that I am a tattooed thug,” Keller said on the show.

“A lot of people judge you… I get it all the time walking through the shops when old ladies clench their handbags. But I’d be the first person to help them cross the road.

The 26-year-old was a former navy sailor, and he struggled to keep a relationship because he was away a lot.

But he’s revealed that now, he’s ready to settle down and hopes that his wife will be able to look past his tough exterior to the “passionate” man underneath. Aw!

Meanwhile, Nicole said she loves children, revealing: “I would still want family even if I don’t find the right person. I would still want to adopt or foster kids.”

How convenient, because Keller was raised in a family with foster kids!

On the big day, Nicole didn’t think her parents would be able to make it due to her dad’s recent leg amputation, but they surprised her – which brought out the tears before she’d even walked down the aisle.

Nicole’s dad had a clear vision of the type of man he wanted for his daughter, “someone who wore dungarees and ‘likes the bush.'”

“I’ll know as soon as I see him,” he said.

Heavily tatted Keller didn’t fit that description, and so when her dad saw him, he whispered to his wife: “I say no already.”

Nicole’s dad had a poor first impression of Keller

Later revealing what he thought of wife Nicole, Keller said: “It is not what I expected at all, she is a glamour. F*****g awesome, it’s crazy.”

“My wife is ideal. I think she is gorgeous. Meeting her is probably the most amazing experience of my life. It went really well.

“I didn’t expect my husband to be covered in tats. I think he’s got heaps… I think I even seen some tattoo on the neck,” Nicole admitted.

“I’m not fussed. I know not to judge a book by its cover.”

And despite Nicole’s dad’s first impressions of Keller, his new son-in-law’s warm and caring nature won him over at the reception.

“I don’t think anybody has ever showed me how much they care for what I care for. My dad is very important to me and I could see in Keller’s eyes that my dad all of a sudden meant a lot to him as well which was kind of unbelievable,” Nicole gushed.

During Keller’s speech, her dad admitted: “He’s a good man.”

Keller and Nicole look like a perfect match!

Aw, we hope these guys stay together!
