Lauren Conrad has revealed that although her relationship with Brody Jenner on The Hills wasn’t ‘fake,’ it was a tad exaggerated for the cameras.

Yep, speaking during the 10th anniversary special – The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now, Lauren said: “I definitely had a crush on Brody, but the funny thing was we had zero chemistry. He was my friend. I enjoyed spending time with him, but it just always felt forced.

“We knew the cameras were making it look like more than it was. And there was so much pressure on me at that point to get a boyfriend or date someone who was willing to film that I just sort of let them do whatever they wanted.”

However, Lauren revealed that the heartbreak she felt when she split from Jason Wahler in 2006 was real, and she was devo that she couldn’t help him get sober.

“That really broke me, because I felt like a responsibility to take care of him, and I felt like when we broke up I was abandoning him. Because there were a lot of nights that I was getting 2 am phone calls and I had to go pick him up passed out in the back of a club.

“So I was like who is doing that now, I know he doesn’t have friends who are doing it…I was like, oh god, no one is taking care of him.”

She continued: “Jason’s story has a happy ending. He is sober now and married and very happy.”

Despite everything, LC says she has no regrets about taking part in The Hills, but she’s happy that she quit when she did.

“I took a really long time to decide when I was gonna leave the show. It was hard on my relationships. It was hard on me. So, that was when I knew it was time to go was when my heart wasn’t in it, and I wasn’t living the kind of life that made me happy.”

Lauren has been married to her beau William Tell for two years, and she looks happier than ever!
