We’ve been bowled over by the talent on The Voice so far this year – and we’re loving the dynamic between the coaches!

As well as digging Ronan Keating joining the team as coach, we’re relieved that returning stars Jessie J and Delta Goodrem have mended their frayed relationship!

But looking back at their rocky interactions last season, 28-year-old Jessie dismisses their clashes as “very normal”.

“We’re very different women, we’ve got different energies and different styles and different approaches and that’s what makes it exciting,” she adds.

However, while there’s clearly still competition between the pair – plus the odd eye-roll from Jessie! – they’ve found a happy middle ground so far this season.

“We don’t dislike each other at all,” the Brit singer insists. “This season we’ve been agreeing a lot more. It’s just about getting to know people.”

Here, the feisty coach expands on how she really feels about Delta and talks sex, love and, er, man hands!

So are you friends with Delta now?

We’re not the best of friends but we don’t hate each other. And that’s the truth. It is what it is, but there’s a mutual respect there.

What do you enjoy about being a coach on The Voice?

I like people pushing me. I like people taking the piss out of me and it being mutual, [having] fun and not being serious. Ronan definitely gets my humour. He’s great fun.

You always look amazing – do you spend a lot of time on hair and make-up?

I just enjoy doing my own make-up – it just makes it easier. I’m quite low-maintenance. There have been a few moments in my career where someone hasn’t understood my face and it’s been blogged. So I try to avoid the drag-queen look as much as I can!

We also love how you keep things fresh and experiment with new looks – especially those brave haircuts!

I’ve been through all these looks and hairstyles and I feel like now I know myself. My boobs are small, my legs are long, I’m skinny, I’ve got man hands.

Can’t say we’ve noticed your man hands – yet! So, what was it like going to school with fellow Brit star Adele?

We were in the same year. We used to sing at lunchtime together. Obviously at that time we didn’t know that we’d both have music [careers]. But she’s amazing – she was always that really bright energy at school.

Is it is hard to date when you’re this famous?

I have relationships and I have sex and that’s OK…I think with Instagram and Twitter, romance has lost its way. I think if we lost technology for a year there would be more people getting married!

And we hear you’ve got an embarrassing tattoo…

I did it ages ago and had “Don’t lose who you are in the blur of the star” tattooed on my side. Not long after I had it done, my mum said to me in tears, “I don’t know how to tell you this but it is spelt wrong.” I have “Don’t loose who you are in the blur of the star.” It’s really big, which is awful.

Ouch! Back to your successes… You won as coach on the The Voice last season with Ellie Drennan – can you make it back-to-back victories?

I don’t care! In a nice way. I hope they either win or they learn.

Finally, what are your career goals?

I want to be up there with the Celine Dions, the Whitney Houstons and the Beyonces and Arethas. I go hard because I hope and pray that one day people look back and go, “She could really f**king sing, you know?”

The Voice is on 7.30pm Monday and Tuesday on Nine
