D-d-drama! It seems Geordie Shore star Gaz Beadle was jailed in New Zealand – and he lived to tweet the tale!

Apparently the reality star was detained at Queenstown Airport on August 9 after failing to meet immigration requirements. Yikes!

Gaz, 28, had flown into NZ to join co-star Marty McKenna at The Edge’s One Night Stand party in Auckland on August 12, but obvs Marty will now walk the red carpet solo.

“F**king hell eventually I am back online,” he tweeted after the ordeal. “Last 36 hours you just wouldn’t believe!!!! #iamfree #cellmates #blockCtabletennischampion.”

While the star’s rep refused to comment, Immigration New Zealand confirmed that they did indeed stop Gaz at the border when he arrived from Australia, where he did a number of club appearances in Sydney.

“There are certain conditions that all temporary visitors to New Zealand must meet in order to be eligible for entry,” an INZ spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.

“Mr Beadle did not meet these requirements. He was put on a flight back to Australia [on Wednesday] afternoon after being released on conditions which allowed him to spend [Tuesday] night at his pre-arranged accommodation.”

Pre-arranged accommodation? Hmm, does jail fall under that category?

Poor Gaz was optimistic about the trip too, posting this photo just before touchdown!
