The Emmy Awards always manage to bring the goods, and this year was no different.

From MAJOR spelling mistakes, to matching tattoos – we saw it all!

Here’s five of the best things that happened…

1. Jimmy Kimmel’s mum made everyone peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and the awesome kids from Stranger Things delivered them on bikes. YASS!

2. Kit Harington’s name had an extra ‘r’ in it. YOU HAD ONE JOB GUYS!

3. Game of Thrones’s Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams showed off their matching tattoos – the date “07.08.09” on the inside of their right arm.

“It’s the date that we both heard that we got Game of Thrones… [It’s] still a bit crusty,” Sophie told E!‘s Giuliana Rancic of the new ink.

4. Julia Louis-Dreyfus dedicated her Emmy to her late father.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus acceptance speech for Outstanding Lead Actress in Veep was very emotional, after she dedicated the award to her late father, who passed away on Friday.

5. Game of Thrones was crowned Best Drama for the second year in a row!

The hit show managed to pick up 12 out of the 24 awards it was nominated for, but despite missing out on half of the gongs it could have won, it still broke a record by taking its total number of Emmys to 39 – beating sitcom Frasier by just one.
