Emilia Clarke – aka Daenerys Targaryen – speaks out about that fiery nude scene on Sunday night’s episode of Game of Thrones, where she walks out of a huge fire – nude, but unharmed!

Emilia tells Entertainment Weekly, “This is all me, all proud, all strong. That ain’t no body double!”

Daenerys literally burned the house down to escape her Dothraki captors – who are killed in the fire, but of course, Daenerys walks out of the flames perfectly fine, just sans clothes.

Emilia says, “I’m just feeling genuinely happy I said yes [to the scene]”, and explains that she doesn’t usually appear naked in the show – which it’s known for it’s graphic sex, blood and gore.

Just to refresh your memory, she was first seen in the nutter in Season 1 when she stepped onto her late husband Drogo’s funeral pyre, emerging unharmed with the hatchlings, in which she proved herself to be The Unburnt and a worthy leader.

“I’d like to remind people the last time I took my clothes off was season 3. That was a while ago. It’s now season 6,” Emilia says. Just in case there were any haters who thought otherwise.

“Every season I get at least one spine-chilling moment. I just stand up and I go, ‘I’m hearing what you’re all saying, but funny thing, I’m going to kill you all. I forgot that I have an ace in my back pocket and now I win.'”

Showrunner David Benioff told Entertainment Weekly that he was impressed with Emilia’s performance, as the scene was tricky one to film.

“Emilia absolutely crushed it. It’s one of those weird scenes because it was half shot in Spain, half in Belfast. But largely due to her performance, it works brilliantly.”

Wooo, girl power!
