Jenna Dewan-Tatum is a strict vegan, and has revealed that she once asked hubby Channing to join her in her plant-based diet, but he failed – miserably.

Yep, Chan lasted six months on the meat and dairy free diet, but there was a  slight problem… he doesn’t like vegetables.

“He really did try to be vegan for six months. The guy doesn’t like vegetables, which makes it tough. It was hard in the beginning because you want someone to be on the same page, but you’ve gotta let people be themselves,” Jenna tells Women’s Health in her latest cover story.

Although she maintains a healthy diet, Jenna says the secret to her killer physique is ‘45-minute power workouts.’

“I love 45-minute power workouts. I get in, do my thing, and then I’m able to go pick up Everly from school. It gives me energy.”

She adds, “I need somebody to motivate me. I like the motivation of having somebody watching over and giving me inspiration.”

Meanwhile, Chan has his own way of working out… by looking after their three-year-old daughter Everly.

“I have not worked out a day since we wrapped on ‘XXL’… Everly is great.The reason why I won’t be getting too fat is because I’m running around after her all the time. She was on her feet at nine months, so it’s a constant marathon. But she’s a wonderful kid. Life is good. I’m lucky,” he previously revealed.

Well at least you tried, Chan.
