Olivia Munn is one red-hot mutant! While she’s always been fit, the stunning actress managed to get into the best shape of her life while doing of her own stunts for her role as Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse.

“Psylocke is such a powerful, lethal character,” the 36-year-old explains. “It was important to me that I was able to do all of the stunts because the more believable it is, the better it is for the audience.”

Olivia needed to be at the top of her game playing Psylocke in X-Men!

But along with making her appearances ass-kickingly real, she inadvertently dropped kilos and says her martial arts and sword training were the “easiest and most fun way to lose 12lb [5.4kg] without even trying”.

What did she do?

For Liv, it basically came down to the fact she enjoyed her workouts so much that she actually wanted to do them.

“I started training every day with taekwondo and sword and the stunt and wire work, and I just ended up losing 12lb,” the Newsroom star explains.

What did she eat?

With her focus on training, Liv needed an easy-to-follow wholefoods-based diet to give her maximum energy with minimum effort.

“I also started getting into eating 20/80, where 80 per cent of your diet is fruit and vegetables and 20 per cent is whatever,” she says.

And her trainer Karine Lemieux says keeping things unprocessed was key.

“She cut down on complex carbs and I told her to eat more quinoa, roasted sweet potatoes, and wild rice instead of white rice,” says Karine. Liv also laid off the bread and limited her meat intake, mainly getting her protein from seeds and nuts.

Then, of course, there was that 20 per cent to play with! Sounds pretty easy, right?

Read on for Olivia’s eating plan and fave moves for making exercise fun!
