Orange peel, derriere dimples, caboose craters – whatever you call it, cellulite afflicts almost everybody!

Well, except Kourtney Kardashian! The mum-of-three is more miraculously smooth-bummed than ever.

“I’m proof that, even after having a baby, you can look better and sexier,” boasts Kourt, 37. True, that!

And you don’t need to be uber-rich with access to the best surgeons in Beverly Hills to get her results.

What is cellulite?

“Cellulite is a connective tissue disorder,” explains Emma Hobson from the International Dermal Institute. It occurs when the fat cells enlarge and push through the skin’s tissue – kind of like a water balloon pressed against a net.

What causes it?

Even the skinniest people can develop dimply bits! “Loss of circulation to an area – whether caused by lack of exercise, too much sitting, clogged arteries or nutrient deficiency – can have a serious impact and accelerate cellulite formation,” explains Emma. Although it’s less likely to be visible on those with less body fat.

The fix?

While you can’t completely cure cellulite, it can be reduced. Start by cutting back on alcohol, caffeine and high-GI processed meals – then hit the gym! Muscle tone can smooth the look of lumps, while lowering body fat with a balanced diet can shrink them.

There are also many beauty tricks that can help (see below), along with cellulite-reducing foods, including salmon, chilli, apple cider vinegar, sunflower seeds, green tea – which Kourt loves! – and plain ’ol water.

“I really take a lot of care with what I eat,” adds Kourt. “I just think it’s really important as a lifestyle. I do have indulgences now and then, but for everyday I usually always eat a certain way and drink a lot of water.”

Sounds simple! Read on to see what you can do to overcome the bumps…
