EEEK! Blake Lively has been blasted on social media for being ‘racist’, after posting on Instagram photo of her on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet for the Cafe Society premiere last week, captioning the pic, “L.A face with an Oakland booty.”

Of course, she was just quoting lyrics from Sir Mix-a-Lot’s Baby Got Back, but this did little to slow down the social media outrage over the post! Yikes!

Haters lashed out at Blake, with one Twitter user writing: “Another day, another rich white woman using WOC’s bodies as a punchline and commodity. As if Blake Lively wasn’t the worst already.” Ouch!

Another wrote: “Used to like you Blake … turns out you appropriate black culture #unfollowed.” Poor Blake!

The specific lyric of the song refers to Oakland, which is an area of California considered as having traditionally black people in it’s community, compared to Los Angeles.

But Blake isn’t the first celebrity to use the lyrics to describe the selfie online – both Khloe Kardashian and Katy Perry have done so before – so why is Blake coming under so much fire?

It’s okay Blake, we still love you!
