She’s sugar-sweet and never had a boyfriend before, so landing in the Bachelor Mansion was always going to be tough for 28-year-old communications officer Natalie.

But she’s determined to find love, it just so happens that her chance with Richie was shadowed by his connection with Alex.

Were you disappointed to be eliminated at the first rose ceremony?

I think someone’s either going to like you or they’re not. It’s just about that initial chemistry and intrigue and honestly I wasn’t the one for Richie.

I never thought in a million years that I would try out for a reality show, and being 28 and never having a boyfriend, I’m finding it difficult to meet the right guy.

If producers have scoured all of Australia to find the perfect Bachelor, then it’s someone I would have loved to have met.

There were some strong personalities in the mansion, it must have been hard to secure enough time to get to know him on your own…

I’m not going to compete for somebody’s love or attention. I want somebody to love me for being me.

Did you make the most of the time you had with him?

I’m very shy and very nervous and maybe a little bit awkward. I think Richie was nervous and awkward, too, which I found refreshing. But I think two awkward people just heightens everything. We didn’t have that level of chemistry or intrigue, but I’m sure he had a stronger connection with the other girls.

Who has the strongest connection with Richie?

People knew he had an initial connection with Alex – and he gave her the white rose. I’m glad he gave it to Alex and I’m sure they used it wisely.

How’s the love life now – have you met anyone?

I wish I could say yes, but unfortunately I haven’t. I think I’m done looking for someone.
