The
Underbelly boys (and a few girls) were out in full force at the
NW party to launch
The Golden Mile DVD last week - and so was the
NW team. Well, we do love a good night out.
The reception the cast gets wherever they go is quite staggering - especially the gorgeous Firass Dirani, who plays John Ibrahim. Yes, the
Underbelly effect is extraordinary, but as I chatted to the lads in the VIP lounge (ooh, get me) I was struck by how down-to-earth they've managed to remain. Women (and by that I mean the
NW crew) were literally queuing up to have their pic taken with Firass, who couldn't have been more friendly and approachable.
Salvatore Coco, who plays hard man Harry Hammoud in the show, was telling me how his mum watches it on a Sunday night, just like everybody else - and is very proud of her boy. Bless. We'll have the full and exclusive report in next week's
