After a sell-out season last year, Winter Festival is once again casting a white spell over Sydney (24 June-4 July) and Melbourne (4 August-15 August) with ice rinks, ski huts, food stalls and wood fires to warm up your winter.
So what's on offer this year? Sydney-siders, keep a look-out for the return of a bigger and better outdoor ice rink in front of St Mary's Cathedral, complete with an Alpine Ski Hut boasting authentic food and wines from the premier snow destinations around the globe, as well as the Bondi Bergstation (16 July-25 July) - a second picturesque outdoor ice rink set on Bondi Beach and overlooking the ocean.
Melburnians won't be left out in the cold this year with a 600 square metre rink also popping up on Melbourne's magical Southbank.
Entry to all events is free, with tickets to the ice rink starting at just $12. Get your skates on though, tickets sold out in just 48 hours last year. And why not make a night of it? There's also packages available at
winterfestival.com.au.
We're sure you'll have an 'ice' time!
UPDATE: The Bondi ice rink is now open - so make sure you get down there and check it out. The St Mary's Cathedral rink was booked out for days in advance, so get in quick and avoid being left out in the cold! There are also daily shows from some of Australia's top ice-skaters that the kiddies are sure to love.
